Service Opportunities for Groups: Connect with our community face to face by service to others. Many opportunities are available.

Children   

2019 Summer Activities are available on the children's web page.

Sunday at 9:30 am: All preschool and elementary children's classes. At 10:45: Preschool Only, Nursery (birth to 2 years) and Wee Worship (3-4 years) in the preschool wing.  Parents can drop off preschool children at 9:30 for class and pick them up following worship if staying for Nursery/Wee Worship.

News & Events


May 4: Annual Inner City Outreach Catfish Dinner in the gym at 6:00. Your donation for the meal helps Inner City youth attend summer camp and learn about Jesus. Bring your family, come with your friends or your group.  RSVP by signing in at Next Steps in the lobby or contact the church office. 

May 12: Mother's Day: This is a big day to worship God with your mother and it's a perfect day to share Jesus with those in our community.  Invite your mother, or a friend or neighbor who is a mother, to come worship with you and meet your church family!


Family News

We express sympathy to Judy Harris and family on the passing of her father, Charles Harris, on Apr. 18.

We express sympathy to the family of Juanita Cleland and Dennis Henderson on the passing of her brother and his uncle, Auburn Henderson, on Apr. 14. 

Apr. 28: Bridal shower for Zach Jenkins and fiancé, Rebekah Wich in the café 1:30-3:30. They are registered at Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Dillard’s, and Amazon.com.

May 5: Bridal Shower for Brett Tucker and fiancé, Christopher Roper, in the café 2:00-4:00pm. They are registered at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Amazon.

Pray for the one person or one family you would like to get connected to God. Find opportunities to invite your friends, neighbors, and coworkers to a safe environment in our building or to an outside activity. Introduce them to our church family and lead them to the life-changing relationship we have in Jesus. If you'd like to know more, contact the church office.


Missions

2019 Mission Trips are scheduled with limited spots for each trip. Information and cost are available on the Missions webpage (www.clearcreekcoc.org/missions).

Prayer Requests  

Pray for the team traveling Apr. 12-19 to encourage and connect with our long term missionaries. 

Pray for the Haiti Construction Mission team (Apr. 15-20) going to Cap Haitian, that they will have safety and can share Jesus as they serve that community: Todd Zumbrun, David Gray, Glen Golden, Matt Dolberry, Seth Miller, Gary Grove, and Thomas Levi.

Erica Long, mother of Gabe Howard, has meningitis and suffered two strokes. Cards can be sent; 7518 Florence Drive Hixson,TN 37343.

Jan Hudgins had surgery on Thursday, April 11, to repair an injury from skiing.  (Care Group 3) 

Pat Thomas, mother of Lori Hansel, has gone home and is battling cancer.

Bill Rock, neighbor of Greg Chambers, suffered a stroke and fall, and is at Northpark. He is facing a hospital transfer and heart surgery after he heals from the fall. Prayers and cards appreciated: 6542 Orange Plank Drive Hixson, TN 37343.

Jamie Tackett, stepfather of Stephanie Wright, has colon cancer and had surgery to see if cancer has spread.  

Grant Majors, son of Eric and Becki Majors, has completed round 2 of chemo.  Cards can be sent to:  Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, John Grant Majors, Room 6741, 2200 Children’s Way, Nashville, TN  37232. Updates can be found at CaringBridge.org; search for Grant Majors.  

Elaine Peck fell and broke her right shoulder and left elbow. She is having physical therapy and doing much better. (Care Group 3)

Donna Howard, niece of David Howard, is having chemo for cancer. Her address is 1006 Egret Court, Springhill, TN  37174.  

Glenna Johnson is having chemo and requests prayers. (Care Group 4)

Denny Weir, brother-in-law of Wendy Henderson, is able to go home during the day but is still at the rehab facility. His address: 108 Maryette Street, Durand, MI 48429. 

Amber Aubrey is home recovering. Her address is 7623 Leather Market St., Houston, TX 77064.  

Betty Berry is at Spring City Care and Rehabilitation Center, room 708A, 331 Hinch Street, Spring City, TN 37381.

Elaine Stroud Edmonds is at The Rosewood of Ft. Oglethorpe (room 8), 14 Fort Town Dr., Ft. Oglethorpe, GA 30742.

Daryl Hubbard is at Martin-Boyd Christian Home, room 113 South, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN  37421.
