Dec. 16: Simply Christmas, Part 3: NEVER ALONE (Gen. 12:1-3, Luke 1:67-75)  The name of the long-awaited, promised Savior is Jesus, but his title is Immanuel, which means “God with us.” Even the title of the Savior points to the real, simple meaning of Christmas: God has come to establish a relationships with us. Join us this Sunday at 10:45am to hear why that is better news that you can imagine. 

Small Groups

If you are not part of a small group and would like information, Small Group brochures are at the info desk in the lobby or gym, or check online at www.clearcreekcoc.org/smallgroups.

Service Opportunities for Small Groups: Connect with our community face to face by service to others. Many opportunities are available. 


2019 Summer Activities are available on the children's web page.

Sunday at 9:30 am: All preschool and elementary children's classes. At 10:45: Preschool Only, Nursery (birth to 2 years) and Wee Worship (3-4 years) in the preschool wing.  Parents can drop off preschool children at 9:30 for class and pick them up following worship if staying for Nursery/Wee Worship.  


Dec. 15: High School Christmas Party at the Wood's house.

Dec. 16:  Youth Family Worship Night:  6:00-7:30 pm in The Creek. An evening of celebrating Christ's birth in an intimate devotional atmosphere.

News & Events

December B.L.E.S.S. Outreach through Dec. 19: Spread goodwill in Jesus's name and share the gospel. Pray about who your family or group can BLESS with the story of Jesus in December. If you BLESS another family, the church will reimburse your family or group up to $100 WHEN you complete the reimbursement form by December 19 AND share your BLESS story. Contact the church office for details and or reimbursement form. 

  • Begin with prayer by asking God to put people in your path to BLESS
  • Listen to people as they share their struggles and pains
  • Eat. Sharing a meal is an opportunity to build deeper relationships
  • Serve. Listen to people and they will tell you how to love and serve them
  • Share the story of how Jesus changed your life

Dec. 19 & 26:  Refresh | Refocus | Regroup. There will not be any Wednesday Activities at the building to give our volunteers and families time to refresh, refocus, and regroup. Whether in your home or your neighborhood, we encourage you to use this time to focus on putting God in the middle of your community.

Dec. 23: Clear Creek will only have worship service at 10:45 am.  Everyone will meet in the worship center together for a family worship. There will be no classes or nursery and the cafe eatery will be closed on Dec. 23. 

Dec. 24-26: Office Closed for the Christmas holiday.

United Marriage course:  Sundays, Feb. 24-Apr. 14, 4:00-5:30 pm. Grow in your faith and your marriage! Through United, you and your spouse learn how to make your marriage all that God wants it to be. This enlightening course takes couples through a series of life lessons in Scripture to explore the spiritual and emotional elements of a lasting, loving relationship. Childcare will be provided if needed. Cost is $99 and will be led by Ken and Betty Mobley. Register online to reserve your spot!

Family News

We express sympathy to John Ring and family on the passing of his mother, Mae Ring, on Dec. 7.

We express sympathy to Melanie Pope and family on the passing of her mother, Pamela Jensen, and of her step-mother, Terisa Goebel. The family of Pamela Jensen will receive friends on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Red Bank Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 115 Morrison Springs Rd., Red Bank, TN 37415 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:00 p.m. The  funeral for Terisa Goebel was Wednesday, December 12.

Congratulations to Jordyn and Shawn Burdette on the birth of their son, Cooper Dain,  on Dec. 10. Mother and son are doing well.

2018 Charitable Contributions should be donated or mailed to the church office by Dec. 31 to be counted on 2018 taxes. Online giving is available through the church website and churchlife app. 

Pray for the one person or one family you would like to get connected to God. Find opportunities to invite your friends, neighbors and coworkers to a safe environment in our building or to an outside activity. Introduce them to our church family and lead them to the life-changing relationship we have in Jesus. If you'd like to know more, contact the church office.

Amber Aubrey  Has completed her last treatment for  cancer. Her address is 7623 Leather Market St., Houston, TX 77064. 

Robert Beasley is home with health issues. (Care Group 4)

Lost and Found:  Bibles, jackets, insulated cups, etc., if not where they were left, may be at the info desk but are periodically donated if unclaimed.  Check with the church office regarding lost money or jewelry.
