World Bible School ( WBS ) is a system in which God’s Word, The Bible, is taught throughout the world by correspondence courses in several languages including English, French, and Spanish. It has been in existence many years and is supported by numerous congregations and individual Christians in most countries of the world. It has offices in Garland, TX and Palos Verdes, California.

 

Hixson has been involved with WBS since 1987 and 13,000 students have been taught, many becoming Christians and hopefully all being drawn closer to a believing and obedient faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ. In 1999 alone approximately two thousand new students were enrolled. Many of these are still being taught in this structured program.  Enrollment is expected to be even greater in 2004 and beyond. Hixson currently has 36 active teachers and we prayerfully request more of our members to participate. You will be joyfully and eternally rewarded.

The WBS programs universally have students in almost every country of the world. There are currently over 1,000,000 souls worldwide that are enrolled in the WBS programs. More students are requesting enrollment through the WBS corporate offices than the present teachers can handle, and more names come everyday. All we have to do is request more names from the WBS offices and they will be sent to us.

 

The course consists of an introductory lesson followed periodically by four 8-lesson courses. Small booklets, answer sheets, certificates, and other related materials are available for teachers. We also send Bibles to students upon request at the teacher’s discretion. All materials, postage, and support items are funded through the church per the elders delegation.

 

Of all the things that one does, teaching the gospel of Christ is among the most important. Out of the six billion people that live on our earth today, 60% of them have never heard the story of Jesus. That’s over 4 billion people!! So if you believe the Bible -and we do-most of them are without Christ and lost eternally if they don’t change. Your efforts may be the only chance some of them have to reach the redeeming blood of Jesus!
