Hixson Church of Christ has been one of hosts for Inner Cities Ministries of Chattanooga for about 7 years. What we do is gather up kids from the Harriett Tubman Housing Projects (Boon Heights), 5th grade to middle school age, and bring them to the church so that they can have a bible study led by Robert Darby and Kenneth Dupree.

Afterwards we give them snacks and take them back home filled with the Love of Jesus. Sometimes in these children’s lives, this is the only exposure to the church and Jesus that some of them get. We would like to make sure that they get more of our Lord’s love and Grace so that they may lead a spirit filled life living in His glory. Also so that they may know that no matter where they are that there Father God and their Lord Jesus will always love and be with them, no matter what.
