Go here to see the many activities and areas of growth our youth are offered.

The youth group at Clear Creek is a very active one.  Phil and Jana Cannon provide them with opportunities to grow and work in many fields:  Missions, Work Camps, and fellowship with each other and other Christian youth groups.  Below are some of the areas they have been involved in the past:

Summer Camp

A new camp for the elementary and middle school aged is being developed for Summer 08.  Various facilities are being investigated to host this event.  More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Mission Trips

Weeklong missions take various forms.  Some recent examples are Flood Relief in Donelsonville, GA, Hurricane Relief in New Orleans, and Medical Missions in Guyana.  As needs change the mission trip changes from year to year.

Workcamps

Annual weeklong times of painting, home repair, etc. for the elderly, disabled, and others in need are described by teens as “fun”, “tiring”, and “. . . it makes you feel good.”  These have taken place for several years in Knoxville.  A new Chattanooga based workcamp is anticipated in June 08.  Youth Ministries from the congregations of Red Bank and East Brainerd have planned to join us.  Other groups have shown interest in being a part of this endeavor.

Winterfest

This February classic in Gatlinburg allows teens to join over 10,000 other teens in a weekend of spiritual growth, exciting worship, and Christian entertainment.  This combination makes it a “don’t miss” event to teens.

Girls Beach Retreat

In recent years the start of summer meant the girls headed to the beach for a few days to celebrate the end of school and kickoff their summer bible study.  Naples, Florida and Myrtle Beach have both been favorites for this all girls getaway.

Guys Mountains Trip

As the girls head to the beach, the guys descend on Roan Mountain, TN for camping, hiking, hanging by the fire, and talking about important things.  This unique location displays some of God’s most beautiful handiwork while allowing guys time to renew themselves.

Uplift Bible Camp

Harding University’s camp is the oldest and largest of its kind in the country.  It brings together national quality bible class teachers, keynote speakers, and entertainment.  Limiting the capacity to 1,000 allows for a “big event” feel while being small enough to allow a great teacher to student ratio.  Dividing the teens by grade (7th & 8th, 9th & 10th, 11th & 12th) let the teachers “tailor” each class session to the age of the group.  This camp is always a favorite and lets teens get a taste of life on a college campus.

Master and the Mountains

Developed by the Cannons 25+ years ago Juniors and Seniors get a week of intense Bible Study while hiking in the Smoky Mountains each day.  Tremendous spiritual growth is typically seen as the teens focus each day on their relationship with God through twice daily in depth lessons and quiet time.
